This is why our best and brightest in Europe all flocked to t he US whenever we got the chance to. Here, if you are good at something and you work hard, the society will oush your career forward regardless of who you are, in Europe, if youre ahead of others, the society will bring you down, outliers can not exist.

I will forever be thankful to my american professor back in uni. He saw my potential, gave me a job at his lab during summer, let me work on whatever subject I wanted, I got a bunch of publications in high impact conferences and got an O1 visa thanks to that. Now I work at a big tech making bank and sharing it with my family, i am applying for PhD at big name schools with strong rec letters.
If it wasnt for him, Id lose YEARS of my life in Europe having to prove myself through accumulation of credentials and seniority instead, whereas the US allowed me to fast track a career I was worthy of despite being very young and coming from a no name uni.
