While the woman in OP doesn't have this condition, I think it isn't far fetched to assume human females developed fat asses (and big tits separately) to attract males. Why does the male monkey brain find this attractive is another question. Might have something to do with curves signaling health, fertility, and maturity.

asses can only be as fat as they are wide. in women, wide hips (and therefore wide asses) allow for a safe and easy birthing process. hence the term "breeding hips"
