Its weird how they talk about "healthy people having heart attacks"
People who have heart attacks are not healthy people, they're unhealthy, they have heart disease or some other potentially deadly health condition.

calling people who are dying of heart attacks 'healthy' is just a means of avoiding the elephant in the room. why are they so unhealthy?

>"In 2019, only 0.3% of U.S. adults between ages 18 and 44 had suffered a heart attack, according to data from the National Center for Health Statistics. That figure went up to 0.5% last year."
>The 60% rise represents a change from from 0.3% to 0.5%

you're saying there's a 1 in 8 chance of a heart attack between 18 and 44? That sounds extremely high.

You're both wrong. You're in the risk group for 26 years but if at any time you have a heart attack, you're in the heart attack group each year from then on.

I see my mistake. If we assume the average person in the group is 31, we can assign them the 0.5% chance as the "average". They are half-way through their time in the group, so by the time they're 44 their chance will be double that, which is 1%.

This. There was a BLS survey a year or two ago looking at Millenials in the labor force.
Of Millenials who are employed, I think it was 1-in-4 or maybe even 1-in-3 are working 50+ hours, and I recall a survey from another agency that found about 15% are working 60+ hours a week.
Gen Y will work harder than any other generation born in the last 100 years, but they will have nothing to show for it.

Did they not do that in 2019 and earlier? The article is about the large change between 2019 and today. Were Millennials sitting around, having a fun time in 2019 but now in current year are slavebots?
