That will require very careful growth of an exoskeleton to the point that it'll basically be a robot, just exploiting biological processes for energy instead of batteries and the like. The line gets pretty blurry if you want to make something that externally passes for a robot. Robots can't have imperfections, you'll have to grow inorganic tissue biologically to basically factory made perfection.

The opposite might be something like just a person wearing an Iron Man suit that can get damaged and leak coolant or lubricant or something
