Why aren't other mammals as smart as us?
Their brains have to be mostly similar in structure, at least in the capacity to create new synapses and neurons or whatever, but it seems like most mammals reach maturity and just kinda exist for the rest of their lives.
Is it because of language?
Thanks,

Our prefrontal cortex is huge and our brain is way more connected compared to other mammals. We are also in the top percentile for the density of grey matter in the brain.
But yes, we developped lot of these adaptations to accomodate language and facilitate abstract reasoning..

Because humans are evolutionary adapted to outsmart animals who are bigger, stronger, and faster than us in the savannas of East Africa.

The mammals that are smarter than use decided to return to oceans to frolic, eat fish, and generally enjoy their lives as god intended.

They have literally the same intelligence and maybe more smarter.
Do animals clock in for work.
Are animals stressed out about bills.
Do animals get the basics?
Do they survive?
Is intelligence actually necessary.
Are animals blowing up each other with guns and bombs?
