I'm interested in becoming one, but it's hard to find much advice online since it's such a niche type of engineering, and there aren't too many people who do this job.

Start as a regular vessel engineer and gradually increase the pressure by increments.

I don't know about the US but here a boilermaker is qualified to design and fabricate pressure vessels.

engineer as in designing them or as in fabricating them...or both i suppose, if thats a thing. And at what level? theres a difference between standards for basic consumer products rated for <200psi and for industrial stuff working in the 1000s.

What is it about pressure vessels specifically that get you off? Why not generic engineer?
