Lang - basic mathematics
Stewart - calculus

These are the perfect balance between rigorous detail and fun puzzle-solving. Only decide whether math is for you if you still have passion after these.

I have to focus for math now I can have something to grasp at when I get a little confused. I'm currently trying to get 'The big picture' of math subjects these will actually help a lot. I did download the calculus ones before losing the pic but didn't know I needed a more round understanding. Thank you

>'The big picture' of math subjects
The big picture is very different from the contents in those books. If you want to approach the big picture i can recommend:
>Classics
What is mathematics?: an elementary approach to ideas and methods. / by Richard Courant and Herbert Robbin
