Broccoli is an acquired taste. It doesn't taste bad or people wouldn't acquire it.

Lol like fruits taste good by default. Grapes and strawberries. They also have natural sugars and proteins. Bannas have potassium. You could eat fruits for the rest of your life and be extremely healthy. Oranges have vitamin c.

It kind of makes you think.

Are we really monkeys?

Do we belong in the tropics where temps are acceptable all year long and these foods are located?

Our fingers and hands can climb trees and eat these fruits.

Kinda makes you wonder

Tasted bad for children. It can actually taste good when you get older. I was ultra picky as a child. Later in life I've come to enjoy vegetables.

tl;dr THE KEY TO VEGGIES IS COOKING THEM RIGHT. Steamed veggies suck ass. Stir fry and or bake, and get them somewhat well done.

I've never understood cartoon characters who say broccoli or Brussels sprouts are gross. I've only had brussel sprouts at buffets and they're fine.

Maybe if I had to eat them every single meal, I'd despise them the way I despise bologna, but no one shits on baloney in cartoons and that becomes gross after you're 5th consecutive day eating it.

Eggs too. Eggs can be total drudgery after a week or so but they taste much better and are much healthier than baloney.
Still can't make them a habit.

Foods that taste good are calorically dense. Great if you are a hunter gatherer that needs every bit of energy that you can get.
Not so great if you are hunting tendies and gathering honey mussie at the grocery store.

Also vegetables taste good

>healthy food taste bad
>bad food taste good
That is moronic logic. Very simply humans are omnivores so they need a little bit of everything for complete nutrition. But what happens is they eat too much the good tasting stuff and too little the bad tasting stuff and acquire nutrition deficiencies.

Also steamed broccoli in garlic butter and a dash of salt/pepper is delicious. If you don't like it it's likely because you're underage B& and your taste buds haven't matured. They do change over time, so if it's been a few years since you last tried it, give it another try and you may like it this time.

I can explain the Brussels sprouts. When I was younger, they actually did taste shitty and very bitter. In the last two decades, they were hybridized to produce less of the bitter stuff and now they're pretty harmless taste-wise.

Agreed. You see, our ancestors did not have supermarket shelves, fulfilling your desires, and never feeling hunger. NO, like wild animals do, sometimes food was abundant, but mostly it was not. So you need to go and starve a few days at a time, walking around for days, looking for food. Go to that starvation point, and you'll see just how delicious raw broccoli is. Try it, or STFU.
