๐Ÿงต Cognitive between top athletes and regular people

Anonymous No. 16447109

Cognitively, what sets elite athletes apart from regular people? How do their brains tick?

Is it higher IQ overall? Or do they have certain attributes (like visuospatial skill) in spades? I'm quite curious about this topic and would love some answers

You have a sample size of 1,000 people or 10,000 or 100,000

The highest work ethic (consistent intelligent effort) + the highest intelligence + the highest natural gifts (+ their highest being developed) likely = the most consistent winner

And interestingly, it is hard for horses to time and time prove their better than others in the so simplicity of a straightaway sprint.

These sports are amalgams of many different skills and facets, so while competition is sti quite close on the highest level, it allows an athlete to set themselves apart, by striving to win every 'sprint' of a games facet

Also teammates are important.
