i should ask diy for this but this is a hard problem.
i would like to farm salmon in hot humid weather. however salmon grows in cold water.
what would be the best cheapest way to cool down 20 square foot hole pool into say 10 degree celsius or however cold salmon griw under?

If that's your problem, nothing you can do will be cheaper than just buying salmon. If you want some artisan salmon you grew yourself as a challenge then install a refrigerator to a sub pool and circulate the water with decent insulation all around. It's a fairly dumb idea. You could try to find a source of cool water, perhaps a mountain stream or deep area of water as well.

just checked takes 2 years for a grown salmon 5 kg
its $15 per kg so $75
2000 salmons would net me $150,000
but the salmons needs to eat and the water would have to stay cool...

You can't cool down a huge mass of water without paying for the power that would requir. You've got two choices:
1. Move your fish farm to somewhere cool.
2. Pick another fish.

Depth is your answer but they need a lot of room. There are stocked salmon in some of the deep reservoirs in the Southwest and that's about how much room they need.
