There seems to be a suspicious monopoly like domination of scientific fields by a few publishers. I don't trust them one bit, how do i find out weird books and theorems from nerds? Say for chemistry

Read the old literature? Chemistry pubs pre 1970s.
Nothing new has really been discovered it's just all fluff and words. Science has just become a bunch of fancy words to hide the fact that new discoveries haven't been made
