Brains are biased towards the good of the system they're apart. For example, if your parents were known then it can quite easily be predicted what kinds of foods you would eat. The places you'd go. The toys you'd collect. Etc. However, some minor inconsistencies in that report are to be expected because of how much freedom you have in your body and the nature of the environment.

Some characteristics of human characteristics are biologically determined. Like emotions, anger, jealousy, love etc.
You are free in the sense that you are in control of the direction of your body. Like nobody can hijack and take control of your body.

unclear how exactly 1 and 2 are delineated, but i'd say 2
in the strictest of senses i could see it being #1, but practically speaking i don't think it's quite that extreme
i do think that in general we are all just npcs and individually no one is greater than the sum of their parts so to speak. meaning, you have your nature, you have your nuture, and those two things give you some degree of "options" day-to-day, but in a more general sense, you never really picked any of the traits or factors that created the path you're currently walking

"Pre-determined" implies an entity doing the determination. People plug in "god" and end up begging the question.
"Deterministic" is a very different concept, which provably does not exist.

God spoke life into existence.
Here we have the doctrine of the abstract idea of free will.
Manifestion of ideas by overt action.
We Manifest our ideas and ambitions by actions.
I had an idea of a college degree so I manifested that ambition into reality. By action.
This is free will as I have a choice in my destiny.. maybe not all of it. But I can set a direction of chain of events that align with my ambition.
Just like If I make bad decisions that can set direction or chain of events in a unpleasant direction.
It's the choice.
