This is the most evil thing I've ever seen. We're fucked becuase some little Swiss faggots want to play god. Your kids and grandkids and all the rest down the line will have their brains eternally tortured and connected to the internet and there is no escape. This is the future you chose.

That's not a brain, it's a copy of a brain. When you die you go nappy nappy, and the clone does its own thing. It doesn't *necessarily* mean consciousness, because we can't replicate brain on a quantum level, nor do we have any way of knowing what the brain looks like in other dimensions, so... it just copies you. Maybe some files get corrupted as time goes on, and your clone gets "Alzheimers", and then it would resemble you less and less.
But from your perspective, you're still having a good nap... probably...

This is interesting as fuck but it's also so poorly worded I cannot understand what Daniel Burger is saying at all. If only they've just published some sort of document that concisely describes what is going on and what the project is about, instead of this popsci corporate pseudo-environmentalist bullshit, maybe that would draw more attention. 90% of it is HR forced nonsense that brings no value whatsoever.

Why only kids? Your brain can be harvested at the moment of death and used for Scientific™ purposes. You'll play doom until there will be no electricity and brain jar fluid.

Even if that's true there's no need to go a layer deeper especially when nerdy trooned out Swiss data-obsessed fags will have direct control over your stimuli

With 1D perceptron embedding of full brain topology, we could assume there's no conciusness in our brain, because it's not in our GPU doing same stuff. Don't forget, when it comes to computer arrays, you can have N-th dimensional perceptron arrays encoded as 1D with setting offset with each access.

You are not your brain. You are an embodied (i.e. corporeal) sum total of the experiences you had in your life. And the fact that this sum could be initiated is dependent on the emergence of an aware, perceiving foetus with sensory organs.
These brains are neither embodied/corporeal (they, for all intents and purposes, don't take up any space in the physical world) and they never experienced a critical foetus period where their sensory organs were shaped and brought into a tight connection with mentioned corporeal state.

the ethics of this is disgusting tho.
We thought it would be computers becoming organic, like Blade Runner
its become about turning organics into slave machines

It's not like the biocomputer is conscious. It's only like 10000 neurons in a dish compared to your brain which is around 100 billion neurons arranged in a structure that allows for conscious thought.
