More men suffer from prostate cancer than women suffer from breast cancer.
Meanwhile breast cancer support gets a whole month as well as billions in donations. Prostate cancer gets nearly nothing.
There's been a push to bring prostate cancer into the limelight and there are no good argument against this.
Hence, a certain group of people would like to redefine prostate cancer to, shall we say, Correct The Record and Fix The Statistics.
Under this new definition, prostate cancer's lack of research funding would reflect its lack of diagnosed, and finally all will be right in the world.

Weird isn't it? More males die of prostate cancer compared to women dying of breast cancer. They had to invent "years of life lost" to say prostate cancer affects old men who were dying anyway. But then both of these cancer are diagnosed in over 50s/60s for both male and female.

I really wish more money was spent on prostate cancer research. During metastasis about 80% of the time prostate cancer metastasizes to the bones. No other cancer is this specific during metastasis. If we could understand how this works in prostate cancer it might shed some light on the underlying mechanisms of metastasis for all cancers.

"Cancer" refers to an entire family of several hundred different diseases that are classified by 2 defining traits: 1.) Unregulated cell growth. 2.) Metastasis

If you have those two things, you have a form of "Cancer".

As for being "low-risk", it can absolutely kill you if it metastasizes to other parts of the body. Frank Zappa got Zapped by prostate cancer.

If a man takes care of himself and his health, he will most likely die from/with prostate cancer. Testicular cancer is also a problem not that common with women, also under researched topic.

You can see it with ultrasonography, it should be a routine check not "low-risk unnecessary treatment" double speak garbage. Literally takes 10 minutes to check if it's fine or turbo bad.
Same with colonoscopy considering how much nitrides Americans consume in processed meats, there's no reason it shouldn't be a routine check every 7-10 years. Japan already does that because they eat so goddamn much fried food.
