Yea, if its fresh and milked with clean sterile equipment. Raw milk tastes great within a couple days of being milked, but goes bad much quicker. If you want to drink it buy directly from a small dairy farmer rather than a store with it on the shelves.

Wherever you find a gallon of raw milk there are no lions. In the next few years the chance of being eaten by a lion while drinking raw milk is close to zero. Chances are you won't get an STD from drinking raw milk either.

There's risk with any raw or undercooked food. That doesn't stop people from buying and eating rare steak, runny eggs, sashimi, tartare, raw oysters, raw fruits, raw vegetables, etc. Why? They taste good! And people like to cook things for themselves sometimes. And modern farming and handling practices for these foods render the risk of contamination for healthy individuals minimal. The dairy industry on the other hand has a vendetta against raw milk because, to avoid sickening basically everyone, it would require them to implement substantially less sloppy production methods that don't scale and yield as well. Lower yields means less profit and jobs. The unceasing unionization and lobbying lead to the current situation where raw milk is flat out illegal in some jurisdictions. Just like the Almond Board fearmongered the government into requiring pasteurization for all almonds sold for human consumption.

>Is raw milk safe to drink?
It can be.
It can also be unsafe to drink.
Raw milk is typically dangerous to drink due to how quickly it expires and how quickly it can become a breeding ground for bacteria. Raw milk is highly nutritious and full of probiotics, and it so happens that germs and other microscopic organisms also agree. If you live on a farm, know a cow personally, or otherwise have access to a lactating woman, raw milk can be perfectly safe to drink. Raw milk becomes dangerous the longer the travel distance and the more hand's its' been exchanged with.
