One summer I put my phone down and exercised or just went out for idle walk, reading books.
It was the best time of my adult life. Once the cheap pull of doom scrolling let go I felt so incredibly free.
An afternoon after coming home from work felt like it lasted 16 hours. I could do every single time I wanted, I could just sit down and relax before bedtime (what is often confused with boredom) and think of what really matters to life.
I still remember these glorious days today, years later now that I'm hooked to mobile doom scrolling again. But I don't even remember what I scrolled yesterday.
What sticks in your memory is what gives life and living purpose. And nothing you see on your phone today will be there by this time next week.
So yeah, screentime, particularly on mobile phones, is devastating to the adult brain.

it honestly weirds me out the intensity of the crusade against blue lights in recent years. a bona fide /x/ poster would probably links this to some jewish dark magic involving cutting human from einxncmoxldleodicn mcufueiekckciickc
