Which fields of science are likely to suffer the most drastic budget cuts as a result of the recent election?

>Reneweable energy
Reminder that Elon is down with solar and RFK is anti-nuclear.

aerospace will never get cut. Boeing is shitting the bed and it's a good source of soft power. I wouldn't be surprised if Boom or Overture got a grant

Neither possess any IP of value to the MIC, even in the context of Boeing shitting the bed. Locksneed and Northrop are the companies with supersonic and stealth aircraft IP and experience relevant to the MIC. Boeing's expertise is airliners, which neither Boom nor Overture have a credible future in.

>Boeing's expertise is airliners
former expertise
present day boeing no longer has that expertise
they can barely reproduce decades old designs successfully

good
>aerospace shit
On the rare occasion NASA does something useful it takes them decades and costs billions more than it should have. If you're interested in space exploration you'd delete NASA entirely and hand its budget to SpaceX (or some other private entity if Elon triggers you too much)

Probably easier to list the fields that won't get drastic cuts. Petroleum engineering, for example.
