๐Ÿงต Why I'm happy when I drink a bottle of wine, scientifically speaking

Anonymous No. 16478051

And why I cannot feel like that 24/7? Life would be SO much more enjoyable

Because psychological leashes and social constructs and control mechanisms no longer inhibit you. You are care free.

And being free makes you feel alive.

There should be some method to reach that status without the aid of drugs too though, like some sort of deprogram method

just accept that you're going to need a few drinks now and again to relax and keep it confined to a few special days (friday/saturday) like everybody else.

I personally believe there is for a few reasons:

-Experienced meditators can reach the jhanas and enjoy states of bliss (allegedly) superior to any drug for hours at a time with no cost
-When you take drugs in a lucid dream, it will feel exactly like that drug for most people
-The body functions remarkably well on drugs of all kinds
-The harm from drugs comes not from putting the body in a state it was never meant to function in, but from the chemicals we use to trigger the temporary state change
-There is no reason to believe in the "No free lunch" hypothesis -- researchers have observed nearly every drug effect there is from LSD trips
-Theory: There is a top-down, body-wide coordination system somewhere we have control over, like the parasympathetic nervous system which we've recently seen to get significantly more control over through techniques like meditation
-The body's homeostasis is really just our default, tuned for survival. This is why pleasures don't last that long, and pains last until you fix the problem causing them. It's optimized for preservation

>Become addicted to benzo.

Just fucking don't. It feels a bit comfy but your memory will be so toast that you won't remember any of the good times. And the addiction is worse than opiates and the tolerance builds rapidly.
