I'm not rich or a scientist, but I want to somehow contribute to the study of longevity. What can I do?

Honestly, talking about it more openly. It’s still such a taboo. If more laymen could get on board with the concept; we as a society could push for better policy change and funding.

We need more studies on humans. We need more debunking experiments because I think a lot of asian papers are faked and plagiarized.

Are you a person of colour? If so welcome to the Science community. We need diversity.

Are you a hot young girl? If so, you could seduce some old billionaire and brainwash him into investing in the field

With what purpose? Will people be happier if they become older? Will the few rich that become older be worth it? Will longevity not cause further problems as overpopulation, cancer, abuse, housing, conservation looms?

As a rich person who eats a lot of polyphenols and takes many non-steroidal PEDs, the answer is yes it does make you happier if you focus on improving your current physical condition. Most of this stuff is not that expensive (think $20-40 supplement bottle at local GNC/Vitamin Shoppe) except eating black currants.

Just think about all the people that died in 1600, they're all still dead. can you imagine doing something for that long? you wont have to imagine soon because you will also be dead and in the ground.

Tough luck. As far as contributing to science, you may as well be a chair or lamp. No money or IQ = basically worthless at a fundamental level sadly.
