I experienced this somewhat with ADD pills, became incredibly effective like my mind had become clear and focused for the first time in my life, but I developed an extreme tolerance and they never worked again. Would not recommend it.

For most normal and socially well adjusted people their primary purpose js not their own happiness, but some higher goal greater than themselves (in which they find true happiness). Therefore a 6 month boost to maximise their performance in some field of research contributing to human development, or to improve the condition of their family/loved ones etc., is a great opportunity. And there is zero risk of these people becoming some kind of unhappy pseud. Some mercantilist minded kikes might use oppertunity to grow their personal wealth, I don't judge that strongly either. The point is anyone who has a reasonable outlook on life and their expectations will be perfectly fine going on and off this pill for 6 months and probably won't even go through that cringy midwit edgelord phase like the retard in the novel did.
