Luis Elizondo worked for the government on some secret projects and is now saying that Aliens are real. He's published books about it and has been in several national television interviews. He has a degree in microbiology. Thoughts?

what a hero, risking becoming wealthy and influential to "share" his "knowledge" about aliens with the world

If he was revealing any actual secrets he would have died of a heart attack a long time ago. Or going back to the Clinton days, died of a heart attack in his cessna so the feds control the investigation.
The real question you should be asking is why the Pentagon approved all these guys talking about UFOs all of a sudden.

I'm quite sure it is this. I wouldn't be surprised if his "reveal" was part of a government plot.

He should also do a ballet and a musical about it, then he'd be more credible

I think it's probably more profitable being a media personality that goes on podcasts, sells books, and makes 'documentaries', telling people aliens are real and the government is covering them up, than whatever government pension he gets from being a retired federal employee.
I can't be the only one who notices how uncanny it is that there's so many people in the media at the moment: uncensored, unfiltered, very successful, speaking in front of congress, vehicles intact and unexploded, yapping about "secret government aliens" - when they're not busy with their latest Netflix special.
