I want to build a permanent magnet NMR with a microcoil, like the picospin line of TFS

I know the specs the pico80 has in part by looking through patents

>Nd 52? / 48 Magnets, 1.5"x0.75"
>Permendur 2V Pole pieces, 1.2"x0.45" truncated parallel sides

I also already have a capillary cartridge of a picospin 80, afaik the shimming is fully on the PCB and I think I can get the code for it online. Otherwise, the microcoil, quartz tube and ptfe tube is on that

Now, I have no fucking idea what RF components I need, and I'm a retard in electronics, I guess I need some high quality ADCs?

Is this retarded and should I just stick trying to make my own FTIR?

Get a good FID first before you start fucking around with any of that
In the meantime, start reading and learn what a ground plane is

Good point. Bought the magnets and pole pieces yesterday, hope I will get some responses from the coil

It doesn't seem too bad, most things I've seen only need a 14 bit ADC with less than 100 MSPS and you can get away with using an evaulation board for it. Everything is at a low enough frequency that you don't even need any real RF circuit knowledge and can just use a low noise instrumentation amplifier IC. Horowitz and Hill should be enough to get you up to speed on analog circuits, plus something like Ott's EMC book or Morrison's "Digital Circuit Boards: Mach 1 GHz" to explain how to lay out the PCB is a not stupid way.
Here are some resources on NMR receivers.

I researched a bit more and i can use a siglent sdg1062x plus (which just came out i think) for the pulse and signal gen. I will def need some preamp for the FID and filters, aswell as a duplexer
