What are some examples of midwits who think they’re high IQ?
I can think of:
>media literacy
These people cannot grasp that some people may like some aspects of a certain medium even if the author did not intend for them to be liked. So they think the people who do are the stupid ones because they don’t follow this made up immutable law.
>inner voice
Similarly, they cannot grasp someone simply not needing an inner voice narrating inside their heads 24/7, so they think it must be exclusive to stupid people.

I deliberately worded that way because I knew the first response would be that :)

Fpbp.
You don't have near the IQ you think you do.

People who make posts on /sci/ in order to sneer at others and feel superior about their own intelligence, rather than anything relating to math or science.

Sneering at others has nothing to do with intelligence, only midwits deluded themselves into thinking that complete non sequitur was true

But unjustified self-fellatio is not the mark of a superior intellect. Nearly everyone is a midwit or below, so you can call any idea a midwit idea and be technically correct. But it only makes sense to do that if one assumes that they are enough of a genius to set themselves above the rest of the world, which is probably false.

You just made this up and the OP post is not self fellatio. Cope midwit.

Everyone talks about IQ but no one talks about capability. You can have the highest IQ in the world but if you're not capable of using it in any meaningful way then its just novelty.

Yes, you got the predictable result from you posting something stupid. That doesn't make you less stupid or the reaction any less true. You made this thread because you're a lonely troll who seeks to feel part of a community by creating a group to share a feeling of superiority over. We see a couple of these types of posts each week.
You're probably the proverbial "bright but lazy" type who actually is only smart compared to the rest of your family and social circle. You have jealousy for those smarter than you, which is most everyone who graduated high school (you probably have a GED because you fancy yourself too smart for school but really you're dumb and lazy). But if you can convince a couple of other anons to join in with you on shitting on people who are actually smarter than you, you can make the intrusive thoughts about your true nature go away for a few hours.
Good luck anon. Most of us will be with our loving families tonight while you eat your Banquet tv dinner and pretend you didn't want to have a meal with your dysgenetic family anyway.

This, I know a few Mensa geniuses who are wicked smart and believe they're God's gift to humanity, but are barely self sufficient. They have to call a handyman to fix the smallest inconveniences around them because they're incapable of critical problem solving and repairing things themselves.

You’re literally too low IQ to realize the irony, you should give up

Not really. Higher capacity for pattern recognition is not useless even if you’re not actively doing something

Anonymous No. 16496597

>>16496559
Recognizing patterns doesn't mean shit if you aren't doing something with that recognition. That's like a fatass recognizing he's a gross fatty, but not actually changing his routine to fix it.

You’re always doing something when you recognize patterns. You can understand how people think, and why they think it.
“Without doing anything with it” means what? Doing what YOU want them to do? That’s just dumb.

People that are full of themselves. Screaming and coercing your point doesn't make you any more right. Lacking common decency and sensibility has never been a sign of high intelligence.

IQ doesn't predict individual success (it doesn't measure anything like sanity, social skills, creativity, work ethic, etc) but it's crucial for societal success - there are no successful low IQ societies
