Well, writing notes isn't just about characters and text, it includes drawings too like symbols/regular graph and plotting, and arrangements like tree/table/diagram to show relations implied by positioning of alignment/symmetry. Many computer io and the software they have are poor for drawing and transition isn't smooth.
