What do I read if this was too hard? I dropped out in middle school and I need to learn math.

If serge filtered you then I recommend recommend “beginning algebra: skills practice workbook” and “algebra: 100 fully solved equations”. Then return to serge

I swear some of you math autists didn't learn to read in school, OP NEEDS TO WORK UP FROM GROUND ZERO. stop expecting dropouts to magically pick up meme books in two weeks. Not everyone was a gifted child.
Here you go. arithmetic to get your brain synapses firing before you go back to a pre algebra level.
Read these below and grind on https://www.khanacademy.org/math from 1st to 8th grade, if it feels tedious good you're not too brainrotted
"Mastering Essential Math Skills" by Richard W Fisher
Arithmetic for the Practical Man" by James Edgar Thompson
"Ray's Arithmetic" by Joseph Ray
"Arithmetic and Algebra Again: Leaving Math Anxiety Behind Forever" by Britta Immergut
"Understanding Numbers in Elementary School Mathematics" by Hwang-Hsi Wu
"Pre-Algebra" by openstax (Which includes some basic arithmetic at the beginning)
"Math Refresher for Adults" by Richard W Fisher
"Kaplan GED 2024 edition" ( has math sections but you may like to do the whole book later on when you're caught up appropriately )
The Foundations of Arithmetic by Gottlob Frege (something to read later on when you're in the groove past algebra)
Give these a watch too
