Listen, the whole point of consciousness is to experience. At individual level. In fact you have no choice but to experience. So much so that you cannot register the time that you are not experiencing. Which means you should continue experiencing after you "die" here. Somehow.
The only thing dying does is you don't get to experience these times anymore. That's for sure. So dying here only means it helps others with interests in this time and space. Because you're only ever needed here as long as you are useful for something. Once that's gone nobody wants you experiencing here on their resources.
Nobody has any proof you "rest forever" after anyone dies. We all suppose that must be the case.
So if consciousness's goal is to experience might as well stick around if it's not that bad. Surviving is always justified at individual level.

I'm almost 30 and I haven't lived a day. Childhood sucked, teenager years sucked, early 20s sucked, I lived most of my life inside a haze as if I were half asleep. I never even considered dating anyone, I never had friends. I'm basically waiting for my parents to die and my mental illnesses to disappear before I start living my life. If I could live forever the time lost wouldn't matter, I could live life at my own rhythm, and I wouldn't die without experiencing what most people would call a fullfilling happy life

I think the general idea of people controlling this world is you should do that experiencing somewhere/when else if you're of no use to them. lel
the main threat to human life will stop being time, rather other people who want everything for themselves.

a) Gnosticism promises immortality, just in a different realm. Weird rhetoric, OP.
b) What does this have to do with science and/or math?
