mid has become a substitute word for "bad" simply because we have become information overloaded with the internet to the point where our taste in movies, tv series and video games has to be curated by the very best that exists.

I disagree. "Mediocre" was always a thing and it was always considered even worse than being bad.

Nah, mid is exactly what it sounds like. It’s meh, it’s aight, it’s not terrible. The only difference is that we are finally calling out mediocrity for what it is, it’s mediocre.

Good point. At least for something to be bad that means it made you feel something. Being mundane is actually the worst rank of all.
