does ฯ exist a priori of the things we see in nature and dictates things like circular motions, or is ฯ roughly constructed from discrete natural values that are built with a machine, and so can only be approximated and never existed to begin with?
same for other weird constants we call "fundamental"

[math]\pi[/math] is a fundamental constant. It's the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, in the purest mathematical definition of a circle, and the notions of circumference and diameter. The numerical value we know, 3.14..., is a product of the fact we chose a base 10 number system to count in, but the ratio itself is not dependent on that.

ฯ is only ฯ under a lot of simplifying assumptions the least of which is Euclid's Vth.
The fact we stumbled upon ฯ at all is strong evidence that we are masturbatory monkeys with lizard brains and will never see the Universe in its True Form.

Is this you struggling with the ideal circle not being possible due to the structure inherent in particulate matter?
If so, bad news. Fields still exist.

if saying something is not real doesn't make its consequences go away then it's real.
