What is most interesting to me about these reports is that many of the volunteers described similar beings, without having spoken to each other about their experiences.

There have been attempts by some more scientifically-minded DMT users to try and test the elves and see what they can/can't do.
They've found that the elves can't provide any information that the person didn't already know, suggesting they are more like projections in a dream than real beings in another place that you are visiting
