๐งต Pregnancy and migraines
Anonymous at Sat, 15 Feb 2025 14:00:05 UTC No. 16586646
Iโm pregnant and get migraines weekly and headaches almost daily. Are there any vitamins that I can take that would be helpful? I take a daily prenatal and 500 milligrams of magnesium right now. I drink green tea daily as well because for a little while the caffeine helped but it hasnโt done much lately. Iโm really trying to avoid Tylenol if possible

Some migraines are just genetic and you have to tough them out.
Others are vaused by something, find out what this is by documenting what you put in your body and then checking back with your notes pnce they happen, this ks not just food but also what type of pan (dont use aluminium) what soap what scents, even the weather evrything.

Also DONT do any parasite cleanses now because they also kill babies, like wormwood for example.

Probably weather related with the change in pressure from the cold fronts recently, bummer.

Not uncommon. Don't worry too much about vitamins, worry more about dehydration and low blood sugar. Try to drink 2-3 liters of water per day and eat 5 meals at consistent intervals, I'd give you a total kcal intake recommendation but i'd need to know which week, your weight and activity level. Should be around 2000-2500.

Vitamin A is the number one cause of birth defects, and fertility problems.
So don't consume liver, dairy, carrots or sweet potatos.
Also most pre-natal vitamins contain enough vitamin A to cause birth defects (the average western diet does already as well), and the research confirming this is quite easy to find.
I wonder why Bill Gates loves vitmain A so much...

You probably have cholestasis.
Your liver dumps toxins into bile and tries to shit it out, which it can do if you eat high fiber foods. However processed foods cut out all the fiber, so instead the bile gets re-circulated, and enters the bloodstream.
Bile is extremely toxic and burns tissues it touches - so if you have bile in the blood and it enters your brain, it would cause headaches and migraines.
Many "detox" side-effects include headaches, which is really just your brain tissues trying to detox themselves.
Eat fiber and activated charcoal to bind the bile safely.
>Are there any vitamins that I can take that would be helpful?
If your health problems are caused by cholestasis, then the number one solution would be shitting out your bile properly by eating more fiber. Vitamins and minerals will either (1) make your liver work slower, which will harm your detox in the long-run, or (2) make your liver work faster, which will make your bile even more toxic if you aren't properly shitting it out, thus your cholestasis will get worse.

I and several other people swear by low-sodium salt combined with increased water intake for hydration and stopping migraines. most people don't get nearly enough salt, don't go overboard with sodium specifically though.

Maxing out synthetic forms can definitely do that. That doesn't mean that dietary sources are bad.
E.g. Accutane, a vitamin A analog which is dosed to be poisonous to everyone, is much different than eating nutritious food.
