Full volumetric holograms. Can we get there? I remember seeing FF movie long time ago, and it stuck in my mind forever since.
p.s. I know volumetric holograms do exist but they're not projected into the air but into some type of volumetric enclosed glass box

this seems to create something with sound which creates the whatever scatters the laser light in that area.
the best hologram you'll ever going to get is in your mind, when you'll plug the computer's usb cable into your head. way simpler (basically augmented reality), than projecting it in air.

there's also this thing, trapping dust particles with sound waves or some shit and projecting light to it

that makes me think there might be some kind of process to condition air to be reflective, same way you could just spray some kind of water volume, but maybe something "cleaner", I guess it is just not really easy
