🧵 Is giving blood plasma dangerous?

I will not get into long detail but cannot get a job for a while and have an absolutely shit physique so I want to hire a personal trainer and the only way I found to make enough is to give blood plasma. I heard someone claim that this shit is dangerous and can wreck the immune system.

It does impact your immune system some but if you're healthy, the difference won't be enough to matter as long as you're not working in a hospital or a sewer.
Most of the centers are understaffed and those who are there generally are just above fast food workers. Don't expect to be able to get in and out quickly. The donation process isn't all that time consuming but you'll wait a lot for staff the be available between steps. The other clients will weird you out.
Wanting to start working out and wanting to become a regular plasma donor aren't very compatible. It'll take a couple of days for your body to recover the lost plasma, which will negatively impact your workout. The payment structure heavily favors those who donate multiple times each week.

No. You would still benefit from working out and can help you make a buck. It's not so bad dude, I donate frequently and it doesn't affect me at all

I’ve sold my plasma exactly once and the experience was pretty harrowing. You get used to being strapped into the machine, but getting stuck is a grueling experience, especially since a lot of their phlebotomists are lower tier and badly trained. The worst part is the tourniquet for me. The sensation of it wrapped around my arm bothers me greatly.
Bring something to read, preferably small since you’ll only really have one fully free hand. Most people watch tv on their phones loudly.

I have a sample size of one and I used to donate a lot. I got cancer. Haven't done it since. Haven't been diagnosed again so far.

Being a living blood bank sucks ass.
Do not do it for money.
If you will do it, do it out of the goodness of your heart or don't.
