first, consider the number of posts possible in a given number of digits
[0,9] has ten posts
[00,99] has 100 - 9 = 91 digits
[000,999] has 1000 - 9 * 10 = 910 digits
[0000,9999] has 10000 - 9 * 100 = 9100 digits
you get the pattern now
