Rather than stopping cruel low quality farming techniques, academia makes these techniques socially acceptable. People will stand up in defence of super farms. The food produced is also low quality, not saleable quality. Barely edible, unhealthy meat is produced by lack of care. You can't rush farming.

To grow good crop takes time and care.

It's the same with animals. NOT giving animals good lives makes the product low quality, unsaleable.

The government makes farming cheap through taxes so they can have power fun with things like Ukraine and support their shitty sub reality where we all must get jobs. Evil people think they can make a lot of money with super farms no matter the cruelty. Government sub reality supports this socially and economically. The broken system remains in place. Could be fixed in hours but presumably through leaders who are weak will take decades, barely possible because of the comfortably rich.
