why do white people pretend they invented the transistor when it was dawon kahng, an asian man, who invented the mosfet...
in fact, a lot of white people copy asians and rename it after themselves. chinese people invented Gaussian elimination but white people named it after Gauss.

Most of the mathematics in the west which was already discovered was discovered in parallel, like pascal's triangle. Sure, Europeans weren't the first to come up with pascal's triangle, but they discovered it in isolation from China. Same thing with India and the quadratic formula. You're free to call it whatever you want, and indeed you can use the Chinese name for the triangle if you want to, but the west does not.
I suppose it depends on what you want to believe. Like sure the quadratic was originally solved in india, but the west solved the quadratic, cubic and quartic independently AND proved the quintic doesn't have a general solution when India did not.

The FET concept was demonstrated with individual crystals of germanium before (due to skin effects of the junction), doped metal oxide layers was a revolution. Not Kanng's invention desu.
Atalla clearly was in charge of the foundational research for MO Semiconductors and kahng assisted him.
