What are your opinions on ayurveda(traditional indian medicine)? Unlike chinese medicine, not much research has been done on indian medicine. Are there any merits or is it just as quack?

Modern medicine was bankrolled by John D Rockefeller. You know what his background in medicine was? His father "Devil Bill" Rockefeller was an actual snake oil salesman that was constantly on the run from people that he scammed.
This is the reason why our pills are made from oil and plant based medicine is called quackery.
