When I put scale on tiles my weight is 2 kg less than when its on wooden floor. Wooden floor is not visibly inclined but seems softer than tile. Why is weight less on softer surface?

Weigh yourself on the wooden floor, then rotate the scale 90 degrees, and weigh yourself again. Do you get different results?

It's likely that the scale measures your weigh based on the force on a single leg. Compliance of the surface can affect the force distribution of the legs, and thus the reported weight. It's basically semi-rigid body statics

even if you just stand a bit differently you can load up the scale differently. best just leave it on the same spot, make sure its sitting level and just go with it.
