Been on levo/synthroid since I was 5, endos and people who also have no idea always saying you NEED. to take it. Stopped taking it for about 6 years and felt fine if not better? Recently started NP and feel sleepy again.

So what does the THYROID actually do? What danger are you actually in if you don't take meds (non-hashimoto)? Anyone else have related stories? Also, if you don't reply to this post your mother dies in her sleep tonight (no immunities).
