Do you have any background knowledge in gauge theory, arithmetic geometry or quantum field theory?

I actually do know a bit about this field. Basically you want to take all these claims with a grain of salt because a large number of papers are published in journals where the authors or people in their close circles are editors. I’ve seen claims which are seriously dubious getting published but of course there’s not really a review at all when you’re the editor. Not legitimate science until that’s resolved imo.

What is funny about this LLM meme, is rather than making it so anyone can do research or contribute to scientific papers in some endless pool of knowledge sort of thing, its only going to further cement the accreditation wall and block off amateurs from EVER being taken seriously. There will be such a tremendous amount of shitty AI generated papers from randos that they will just be blanket ignored, no one will ever have time to actually review them. Unless you've received a PhD from a upper tier institution there will just not be time to even bother verifying your work.
