So let me get this straight.
Evolution is the idea that extremely complex biological functions (that build upon eachother and rely upon eachother) came from random genetic mutations which appear in 0.01% of hosts and kill or deform the host 99.99% of the time.

Do I have that correct?

No. Evolution is the idea that animals change over time as a result of natural selection. This is observable everywhere in the natural world. All that genetics stuff came way later than Darwin

>genetic mutations which appear in 0.01% of hosts
Mutations are much more common than that
>kill or deform the host 99.99% of the time
Mutations are far less lethal than that

No

Evolution is a fantasy created by applying Hegelian metaphysics of directed development to organisms.
It's culture-bound to the modern period of Western civilization and is already evaporating into the mists of time.

You have approximately two mutations in your DNA for each year your dad was alive before he conceived you.

>random genetic mutations

Nope.

*slaps you with a genetics textbook*

You will read and understand this or get the stick next. Just joking, random point mutations are as you should know usually neutral. Most of evolution rather happens on the level of gene duplication (extra copy to modify without incurring negative effects), gene reshuffling, changes in copy number of repetitive sequences (often regulatory gene expression mods), etc etc ... :)

Early ones may have been random but then you get things like dinosaurs evolving into birds, or rather avian dinosaurs surviving a mass extinction event... flight was advantageous.

Sexual selection, too. Which is an even dirtier and more radical idea that's largely rejected by the progoids who allegedly championed evolution versus creationism. But it's impossible to understand how we evolved to our present state without understanding these politically-incorrect parts of evolution.

you cant observe the physical process that causes genetic mutations though

Sure you can. Happens all the time in recombination

Genuine question but if there are countless microorganisms that are alive today some of which can live 100s of years why would natural selection ever favor becoming something more than that?
