Farmer here, I have 8 cows and breed them in pairs, then wait for the baby cows to grow up before I breed all of them again. If all get to breed in a given cycle, they become very happy, if not they become sad. Just now a villager told me that "hmmm, if the cows have become sad more than twice as many times as they have been happy, they all die". Now I am scared, but this will not happen, right? Pls help

Big Sad is Kill. Always has Been.

Choose one. Anyway I assume you mean there can be an uneven number of cows and each cow can only breed with one partner per cycle. Suppose:
>8 cows 4 pairs 2 offspring
Either 16 or 8 cows (previous gen dies) are happy.
>8 cows 4 pairs 3 offspring
Either 20 cows or 12 cows (previous gen dies) are happy.
>8 cows 4 pairs 4 offspring
Either 24 cows or 16 cows (previous gen dies) are happy.
So the trend seems to be: first gen even. I find the same for the second gen. It seems like an uneven number is not possible but maybe I'm retarded.

Why would they become sad? There is an even number so they will always have an even number.

8 cows 4 pairs 4 offspring, happy cows
12 cows 6 pairs 6 offspring, happy cows
18 cows 9 pairs 9 offspring, happy cows
27 cows 13 pairs 13 offspring, unhappy cows
40 cows 20 pairs 20 offspring, happy cows

Sadly, you've already failed. You want a bull.

How do you go from 8 to 12, 18, 27? It's cheating to assume only half or an uneven number of cows die.

Actually cows do mount eachother. That must count for something.
