Sure you can try the usual things like no blue light and glass of milk. If that doesnt work just lie in your bed and try to rest if not sleep, it might or not happen

Drugs, alcohol and things that make you pass out are not sustainable, you'll be dead in a year if you need propofol to sleep

go to bed early, not to sleep, but to relax and listen to lecture, podcast, or audio book. Something you are interested in. Set the volume very low, so you have lay still and concentrate to hear it. you will fall asleep. Its that same concept of counting sheep, the counting takes your mind off of trying to sleep, relaxes you because its mundane, and you fall asleep. Do not rush it, go to bed early and relax and listen to something interesting. It works.

Yes, yes it does. Listen to something interesting but not exciting. Low volume so you have to concentrate to hear it. Go to bed early, not to sleep but relax and listen to the book. If yo listen to something that is too stimulating you defeat the purpose.

what if the universe is a black hole in a much bigger universe?
assume that the accelerating rate of expansion is due to our universe sucking up something from the parent universe, like a star that's nearly as big as our whole universe.
think about the other implications of it...
this always helps me sleep

It doesnt. Some people have serious levels of insomnia and cant fall asleep. Some manage to overcome it and eventually improve, others die from it. Its obviously not a normal condition, its a brain malfunction of some kind. A disease is you like the term. Why do you deny that people can have brain disorders?
