🧵 First Comp (BJJ)

Anonymous No. 117337

I'm going into my first amateur comp tomorrow. However, Im 2.2 pound overweight!
What should I do tonight?

My plan
>> Clean my room
>> Simple workout (full body) 20 - 30 minutes
>> Sauna

Sleep

>>Sauna one more time before weight ins
>> Eat simple carbs dor the fight

I'm actually kinda sleepy right now. So... Should I just sleep and do everything tmr n fight? Or do everything tonight, sleep n fight?
Or is there a better way?

Sleep. Get a good night sleep, hydrate.
If your trainer knows what he's doing you have chances for tomorrow, your job right now is to not get there tired.
You can do a very light self practice for technical purposes.
Do not tire yourself the day before a tournament.

Umm my boy 2.2lbs is a lot. I would disagree with the other comment. Whatever you do DONT drink water. I wrestled for a good but and now I'm a weight-cut wizard. Sleeping you might lose like .5lbs but that's it. The workout and Sauna might be able to do it for you. Weigh yourself in the morning and show up very early so you can get a "practice" weigh in tomorrow. If you're off by like .5lbs you can jog that off in the parking lot after like 10 mins if you put in the work.

Just adding onto this check to see if they conduct weigh in with or without the Gi. Because that bit of information could make you or break you.

Thanks, I kinda made the weight right now. Sauna kinda reduce my body weight by 0.5 pound. Sleeping n working out cut my weight for 1.5 pound ish.

They conduct weight in with gis on, so I taken that into consideration.

Wish me luck, theres like 3 more hour until my fight.

I plan to eat a piece of bread with honey n drink a cup of water. Hopefully it'll doesn't effect my weight that much. Thank you n
Oss.

Brazilian JuJitsu legit looks like gay rape. It was created by a jap named Mitsuyo Maeda, who learned early-phase Judo from its founder (Jigoro Kano). However, Maeda was expelled from Japan for 2,400 acts of forced public homosexuality. So, he took his manraping skills to the jungles of Brazil, hoping to rape many exotic species in the rainforest. One day, while chasing monkeys, he found the Gracie brothers. I dont have to tell you what happened next. Rather than run away, the gracies decided to become his students, becoming proficient in the arts of homosexual rape. When their training was complete, Maeda excreted a 4-foot long turd on each of their tests, telling them it was their "brown belt." All the elder gracies still have those giant Rio steamers, in glass cases on their walls, as heirlooms to be passed on to their descendants. Truly, brazilian ju jitsu has a glorious history.
