friends buy dirt bikes. then they talk me into buying one. I reluctantly get one because I can't get them to do any outdoor activities with me and I want to do something with them. The first trail ride friend 1 breaks his leg. The second trail ride friend 2 breaks his leg. back where I started with no friends who can go outdoors with me.

Get on thumpertalk in the regional forum and find some dudes to ride with that know what they’re doing and yes get gear. You can meet a lot of cool people trail riding, plus being in the woods all day is amazing.
