I used to be extremely into MMA and bouldering but now i live in a small town where the nearest bouldering gym is an hour away by train and there's no MMA gyms nearby

Just look on google. Anything with an element of danger really needs to be done with others. Even my little English town of 30K has plenty of activities and sports clubs for everything from MMA to kayaking even sky diving not far away.
