๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ ๐Ÿงต Secret methods

Anonymous No. 142297

Westerners like to laugh about Asians keeping their training methods secret, but they are doing it themselves.
Even regarding boxing champions who have long since ended their careers, actual workout routines are almost impossible to come by: Only stories and tall tales are known, like Rocky Marciano's 30 pull ups or Tyson's super high rep bodyweight exercises.
Foreman, according to himself, did some push ups, some basketball skipping drills, chopped wood and spent the rest of the workout beating on the heavy bag, with sparring relegated to the weekends - in his prime at least. Sadly, not all champions are that generous with information.

Why is this? When your career is over, you should just tell people what you did exactly.

were there any pros who trained by full-force sparring hours a day? is this method retarded? will it work for someone is going to prison soon?

>Why is this? When your career is over, you should just tell people what you did exactly.
Reasons like hidden bolts in the gloves, roids, paid referees, mafia threatening families, blood doping etc

95% of boxing training that's "secret" is so you don't know you're being setup to lose. The other 5% is because the average trainer and fighter are too inept to use it. See- how many people think Mayweather's padwork is stupid, then get flurry fucked whike he's walking backwards.

Yeah james toney, especially in his later career. Yep it does work to a degree because it's either sink or swim, a lot of older gyms in rough areas were like this, probably not so much now, you see it get brought up on reddit sometimes and people complain but honestly i think it was just the accepted way back then and for some trainers even now it's all they know.
