Place two players into a semi randomized arena. First one to get shot loses.

Guess you could also use Airsoft guns.

That shit fucking hurts. Not sure the sport would ever catch on just due to pain.

Airsoft or paintball would be how I would do it. Force on force as a team sport focused around objectives as well as elimination. Tactical in mostly close tight quarters with tons of cover.
Basically cs:go irl.

It's accessable and with the right camera setup be entertaining enough to be a spectator sport. That way sponsors could get in and it could get enough funding to do some pretty cool stuff consistently.

Formal dueling pistols style shit is dumb since no one duels that way anymore and it honestly shouldn't be brought back. Timed pistol target shooting test the same skills and is already a well established international sport.
A few minor tweaks for a tournament or event is simple enough.

Military uses a combo of lasers and blanks for their force on force training.
Even they don't use simunition because the risk/reward ratio don't work.

It’s actually already existed in the past, people would shoot each other with wax bullets for sport. it died out but it shouldn’t have, shit seems fun.

Isn't that just speedball/speedsoft

Pretty much, but you have a pistol round to start off.

Expense and availability are bigger issues. Paintballs, lasers, and blanks are significantly cheaper. If they were as cheap as paintballs the milsim paintball guys would be all about it.

It's no worse than a spring powered airsoft gun.

The lasers are pretty cool if nobody conveniently forgets to put batteries in their sensor. Simunitions are more fun but you have to keep it close quarters which is more fun. You can't cheat it because it marks you with chalk and makes you say ow fuck you got me.

Bullshit it is. I've had to pull pieces of metal out of people with a pair of pliers from rifle UTM rounds. How many WMLs or RDS have you seen cracked from airsoft BBs?

The wax duelling is cool but I doubt you could get over the stigma of sending actualy projectiles at each other, out of real guns
Imho it must have to really hurt to be worthwhile, which rules out airsoft and paintball. Anons say simunition is actually harsh enough to be dangerous, I wouldn't know
Could there be a thin bodysuit that reacts to getttig shot with a laser by delivering a genuine harsh electric shock? Something sharp enough that it forces the competitors to jump involuntarily, contracts the muscles or whatever. Probably not without it being dangerous, but that would solve the problem of two guys just triggermashing at each other instead of reacting like they've actually been shot
>they're actually replacing real guns with lasers in sports like biathlon, to cater to retarded noguns countries like mine (and to sell cheap lasers at insane markups)

Paintball guns, and have them fight in the nude. Winner is the last one standing

What

Anonymous No. 170205

They tried for the olympics once.
Didn't go too far as it's essentially a dice throw when it comes a flintlock pistol duel.
Mexican standoff might have had a better chance, but at the end of the day it's gun Iaido except the winner is the quickest one.

>the pissweak sports rifles are getting changed with lasers
>ruining the whole point of being an autist about ballistics and wind to get the best shot possible
Not only is that gay, it's going to unironically make the sport piss easy, pointless and ruin it.
>nooo we can't let people own sporting guns!!!
If someone wants a gun to do crime they either will build a pmc-9 evil gun or a FGC-9, then buy blank pistol munition (conveniently its 9mm wide),which you don't need a license to buy, just a "reasonable cause" (example: you are the guy that shoots a gun in the air before the race) to then turn into real cartridges by opening them and putting a 9mm home made cast lead bullet in them.
I fucking hate being a gayropean sometimes.
