At it's core its a highly competitive meritocracy where you can't get far unless you can actually prove yourself by being legitimately the best at what you do.

In all seriousness sports like MMA just attract way more high-test people. You see this to a lesser extent with football where people shit on players for sitting during the anthem, and in NASCAR where up until recently Confederate flags were still a pretty common sight, and with the whole let’s go Brandon thing.
