thats a domesticated crocodile tho.
thai shows have the performers live and train with the animals for a long time. it isnt a real grapple with a wild specimen.

If the win condition is the animal must die then its bigger than you think
If the win condition is the animal must die but the human can't sustain mortal injuries itself, then the answer is probably a moderately sized goat

Peak human with peak fighting ability?
A large dog (think mastiffs), or, if we're being very generous, a cougar
Average human? Medium sized dog

What can a crocodile actually do though? If you hug its hind legs it can't reach you with its fangs, and its too sluggish to get away while you repeatedly pommel it from behind. If you stand to the side of its hind legs then it won't even be able to hit you with a back kick. If it raises its leg to perform a stomp then all you have to do is back off until it finishes its slam, then move back in to continue punching.

They have a really powerful roll that will shake most people who don’t know how to handle them off. They’re more flexible and a lot faster than you probably realize. Certainly not “sluggish”. The real trick is holding their jaw shut. They have powerful muscles that will clamp down and never let go when they bite, however their muscles to open the jaw are actually fairly weak.

Honest answer is a saltwater crocodile. They're more terrifying than Americans think they are but they do have a set of very exploitable weaknesses.
Being on their backs severely hinders them and while their mouths have tremendous snapping power it really hard for them to open them against even a little bit of downward force.
Here in Australia it's not uncommon to see a croc just sleepily sunbaking on land, you can easily get the jump on them. Old Steve used to do this all the time. The problem is if they get the jump on you.

>woman moment of all time
>opens the alligator enclosure holding a food bucket
>excited alligator tries to climb out to eat
>she pushes it back with her hand
>grabs her instead
>attempts a spiral armbar
>she pull guard
>there's literally a woman being eaten by an alligator and nobody is thinking to remove the children looking on from the situation
>all the other staff runs off to get the manager
>random dad jumps in and goes for back mount on the alligator
>lmfao the entire staff just leaves him in there by himself to wrestle an alligator
