There are plenty of effective forms of kung fu that use it too. Also, your definition of effective is probably based on retarded MMA standards & your view is too narrow. Kung fu can be very effective if you understand this..
>>183504
Forms in kung fu are the same as kata in karate. Understand that they're idealized examples meant to teach a lesson. When these styles were made, it was patent that real fights don't go down like that. Just like how shooting a gun at a range or course isn't like real life, it's an idealized scenario that helps you pick up fundamentals.

Tl;dr name a king fu style that uses the wooden dummy and isn’t a dummy style for losers who can’t fight

It's not exclusive to 1 style dumbass. Have even seen other non-kung fu styles use it. I have seen them in mma gyms before. They're good for conditioning for any style. Dude, you're just a faggot with a rage boner for chinese stuff & it's sad. Go back to /pol/ if all you can contribute is little bitch shit.

Muk yan jongs still get used in some sanda schools. Your definition of effective is obviously some faggy MMA standard. Wing Chun is effective. Anderson Silva, Tony Ferguson, Alan Orr, Chris Collins, etc. They have all used elements of it. Just admit you're a racist little bitch.

Sanda it's just kickboxing, there is nothing "kung fu" about it

So effective style of kung fu is watered down muay thai? Got it.

Yeah thats pretty much what you did though. Like yeah, wushu & wing chun get dramatized for hollywood a bunch but there are competitions for them that have way more sporty versions that get close to kick boxing. Bruce Lee competed before doing film. You're doing the same thing just jumping on the kung fu hate bandwagon, making generalized claims that aren't really true. I mean I can find you video of basic ass MMA amateurs get their shit handed to them cause they never trained hard enough, does that mean all MMA is useless, no. Better question is, why do you keep jumping threads just to start shit. You're the same queer shitting up the karate thread huh? Dude, you're so pathetic.

You made a claim that a bunch of different styles use the wooden dummy not just wing chin. If that’s true just post some evidence you fucking fag.
>mma is just like king fu because beginners sometimes lose
Mma involves a lot of different martial arts styles but you never see traditional kung fu styles getting utilized in high level mma. At least TMA karate guys can point to lyoto machida. Who does wing chin/kung fu have?
>BUT ANDERSON SILVA WATCHED IP MAN ONCE THAT MAKES HIM A WING CHUN FIGHTER
lol, lmao even
>you’re just jumping on a hate bandwagon :(
Train a real martial art that wins fights and you won’t get made fun of, nerd

And that was like 20 years ago when legit tough guys were doing TMAs. You don't see actual fighters doing TMAs anymore; that bifurcation has been one of the results of the MMA revolution.

>But when you change the TMA it makes it viable in an MMA match!!!!
>This proves TMA is adaptable
First of all, no one claimed TMA was unadaptable, the claim is that TMA as it is taught is not useful for da streets, or their best analog, MMA matches (UFC in particular). This also doesn't actually prove the TMA of choice is actually adaptable, it just proves the fighter who adapted it was smart enough to realize what was bad about it and what needed to be changed

Whole thread that retard has been arguing exactly that. Kata is basically karate shadow boxing & anyone who doesn't understand that is a fucking retard incapable of unbiased objective analysis. It has ALWAYS been understood that kata are not what it will come out as in a fight. Katas are the ordered rehersal of what will end up being the chaotic performance. Tired of having to explain this to a bunch of smooth brains.

Morio Higaonna who has very conditioned knuckles has had them examined by doctors and they are in absolutely perfect health - enlarged and calloused, but no sign of arthritis.
You giga nigger retard, do you realize how dumb you are
>hurrr his hands are calloused, so obviously he has worse arthritis than I do!!1
You'll get worse arthritis from tourniqueting your wrists and putting 8oz polyester pillows on them to train while eating zogslop.

Doesn't he use Chinese medicated herbal oil on his hands before doing conditioning as shown in a documentary?

At 5:57. He's basically doing how Chinks conditioning themselves when doing Kung Fu.
